How to Convert Pants to a Pencil Skirt

For some reason, it’s hard to find skirt suits – but pant suits seem to be plentiful. So when I find a pant suit at a good price that I like, I try to decide if I can convert the pants to a skirt. Over the years, I’ve converted several pant suits to skirt suits – before pencil skirts were fashionable again. Because converting pants to a skirt will result in a narrow skirt – the now-popular pencil skirt.

Here’s a recent example of a conversion. This pantsuit was a little large, which helped make the skirt not too tight. I just took in the top some. So now I’ll be more likely to wear it – as a skirt suit versus a pant suit.
